One of the things that causes front rotor warpage is the habit many of us develop of keeping the brake applied after stopping. The pads are hot too, and that section of the rotor remains hot as the rest cools. If it's after a particularly hard braking from high speed, that can cause warping.
If you can, release the brake as soon as you are stopped.
