I thought it was pretty funny. Someone played a pretty funny prank on this guy.

Nice. It's funny, easily reversed, and it doesn't hurt anyone. A good practical joke.

Are you at work, Jeff? The pics get x'd out when I'm on a network that doesn't allow some content...like when I'm at work.

Anyway, it's a pic of a gsxr with some training wheels.

The real thing is out there too. I was reading where a training company offers them for intimidated new riders.

You should see the automatic ones that drop out of the saddlebags on Gold Wings. I'm laughing now, but in a few more years...

There is an older gentileman here in Kanas City that had polio as a child. He wears old fashion leg braces and walks with crutches. He has got training wheels on his HD.

..."an older gentileman", huh Mac?!

Hmmmmm....I wonder if he rides it to church on Sundays???

(...well, he certainly wouldn't ride it a synagogue on SATURDAYS, would he?!)

Here is a pic of a friends Goldwing. Notice the training wheels.

We were out the other Sunday and got caught in a storm on an unmade stretch of road.

He was one of the very few of us that didn't go down.

We had no choice but to go on the unmade stretch as it was to far to go back to get fuel.

Frank... I'm trying to figure this out. So you GoldWing friend has training wheels but does he run with them all the time or, did he put them on just to get outta this jam. Please tell me he doesn't run with them full time!!

G'Day Keith, They are hydraulic and work from a button on the handlebars.(They go down pretty quick) He is only 5'4" and he uses them when he has to stop at junctions or lights. When he has his wife on the pillion he found it a little to hard to handle with all the weight. He also finds them very handy when he puts it in reverse.

Hey Frank... howzit? That's quite the arrangement on your friend's GW. Pretty cool I'd have to say. And I'm assuming he fabbed it all himself or did he find a bolt-on kit somewhere? Either way, it's a pretty good example of the ol' necessity-is-the-mother-of-invention thing!!!!

Hey Keith, Like you say the mother of invention is a wonderfull thing.

My mate said he needed something to make riding easier and somebody said jokingly "training wheels"

He had them fabricated at a local shop and as they say "Bobs your uncle", problem solved.

Give it a few years and you never know I might be in need of some.
