I’m absolutely sure.
My bike came with 40’s. I verify each with a 10X loupe.
I’ve flip-flopped them 4 times with 42’s cause of skepticism.
42’s work, but needle settings are ¼ left and ½ turn out right.(4 times with same results)
One major improvement I cannot believe I skipped is FLOAT LEVEL.
Stock is 17mm. I raised it to 16mm, meaning I raised my fuel level in carb (da).
I never paid attention to it for 2 months till I thoroughly and slowly read this web site (I read this web site over and over).
http://www.factorypro.com/tech/carbtun.htmlFloat level affects all area’s engine performance. Idle, cruise, WOT from any RPM’s.
I’m a little slow, I’m guessing SOTP means,,,,,,, “seat of the pantsâ€.
Quite a few web sites say 13.0 is the power number. 14.7 is the economy.
You can see(I can see) on the graphs from a 14.0 AFR cruise speed to WOT, it doesn’t really pull till it hits 13.2 down to 12.8(please, no quotes) .
I'm starting to wander,sorry
