With the way it sounds, boards would solve your problem and you should be comfortable. Simple and easy fix.
On the other hand, so would the relocators AND your wife could take a spin(don't know if that's really good or bad...I don't share well.
)
Now it's really just a matter of how much do you want to spend. Your wife may be able to rest her feet fine too with the boards...
