I refer to this as "The Slow Parade", and it has giving rise to my maxim, "There's always someone leading a Slow Parade."

Actually, what REALLY bugs me is when you've got someone camped out in the center lane of the highway going slower than the surrounding traffic, and the traffic on both sides of you is going by thick and fast enough that you can't get an opening to change lanes.

There's this really schizophrenic attitude towards driving in Boston, where most people drive like the world is about to end, but a significant minority drive REALLY SLOW. And pretty much no one seems to understand the whole left lane = passing thing.

Also, I'd be really thrilled if I could find a square inch of pavement in this town that wasn't torn up for road work.
