About 3 years ago I mounted a subminiature slide switch in that blanked-out position that originally held a headlight switch. I used a double-throw, center-off switch: forward turns my light bar on, rearward flashes all turn signals, and center is of course, off. The switch I used is similar to
these. Note that these switches are pretty small -- a necessity since there's not much room in there. I've got some photos and can provide some additional info/hints on doing this, if anyone is interested.
