Yes, it is. BikerThug, SpeedRacer and I were getting off I-84 (on our way to meet Freedom and a few others in Cascade, ID) and one of Idaho's finest decided he needed to check out my bike, using my loud piped as an excuse.
Yes, they were pretty darn loud back then. I've tamed them down quite a bit the old fashioned way with steeel wool.
