My Daytona Carbon Fiber is 9" ear to ear...carbon to carbon. With that thin edge gaurd on the rim, it's
just under 9 and 1/4".

. Glad to hear yours is really light too even though there's leather on there. I still LOVE LOVE LOVE mine.
. Absolutely perfect with the adjustable straps at the ears, the weight, and NO parachute effects. Nice and thin, not bulky. etc.
