11.5 is the lowest Progressive will go for application on our bikes. When they give their blessing (which includes a warranty) they do so after testing them for the application they assign for them. You may be able to find "cross overs" that "fit", but a shock is not the same on every bike. There are more issues than travel, and clearance that Progressive considers when they test a bike for application of any given model.

Many have tried the one shock fits all approach only to find that one size does not fit all nor do they perform well or as intended on all variations and they are left with a shock that they have spent good money on and still need a set of shocks. Others have got lucky and found a "fit, but are left with something that may or may not perform up to Progressive performance standards.

This I know for certain, if you stray from the shock that is listed for a given model of motorcycle and something goes wrong with the shock..it will not be warrantied by Progressive.

So how's that?
