OH! So, I take it YOUR chain guard has broken TOO, huh?!
Yep, well, mine finally broke at the back a while back where, you know, that itty-bitty little mounting point extends down to the back of the swing-arm. And so, once again, I did a little "surgery" to it, and riveted another piece of sheet metal behind that point and then re-bolted it up.
Yep, as has been mentioned before around here by more than a few folks, these chain guards appear to be a bit weak and under-engineered, whether they're chromed or not.
However, a couple months ago I purchase another stock black chain guard from damien around here, but haven't as of yet gotten around to switchin' that extended piece I talked about above onto it and boltin' that sucker onto my bike.
