Need a new starter for my 02 TBA. I took mine off and tested it according to the directions in the Haynes manual and am getting continuity from the "terminal bolt" to the rear cover. Took it appart and everything looks good but it's still shorting out. Anyway - Bikebandit sells new ones for $858.00. Is this for real? Surely there must be rebuilt ones somewhere. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

In the area of a cold six pack at minimum.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Maybe Pat could become a distribution center for a "info for beer" exchange on this site for those who want to show their appreciation for help. I for one would be happy to pay for roadworthy to get a six pack or a keg for helping me out.
