One mod I did early on was adding a wrap of hardware screen around each baffle before inserting. Someone a long time ago posted this helped keep the baffle material from packing down and getting louder.
That was a dude who called himself Triumphant. Remember visiting his website, he had some cool tips posted there. I remember he experimented with how much packing material he had on etc, and he ended up drilling six holes in each baffle, and kept 25% of the packing material. (That's why he used the hardware screen, to avoid the material to slip down the baffle under pressure)
