I removed the procom CDI Tuesday morning April 13th, and re-installed the GILL CDI. Why? Dang if I didn't have a shut down issue on idle when hot, then a stumble issue off idle when 50+ continuous miles are on the clock. All the symptoms of a coil going south. I tried two other coils off a used 07 speedmaster (6 combinations given one of the 07 coils might have been bad, can you say lot's of tank pulls?) , new spark plugs, other spark plug wires. All that was left was to reinstall the GILL unit.

The Gill has been zapping away for 294 trouble free miles now.

So I have ruled out ignition coils, wires, spark plugs. What is left? Could the gap be the gulf?

I'll be on the phone with Wesley after the GA Rally about the problem that was the impetuous of this thread.
