Now that the snow is gone I took my bike to work today. WOW! The throttle side heats up very fast because it's only stuck to the plastic throttle tube. I tried them on high with out gloves and just as the clutch side was getting warm I could barely hold on to the throttle. I turned them to low but got to work before I could tell any difference.
I tried them on low on the way home and the throttle side was just right but the clutch side takes too long to heat because it warms the steel bar too. I think I might adjust my wiring and just have an on-off switch. Then I can wire the throttle side to be on "low" and the clutch side to be on "high" at the same time.
Keep in mind that the set of warmers I bought were ment for a snowmobile so I sort of expected high to be very warm. Overall I am happy with this product and I can't believe I waited so long to do this mod.
