I've searched the site and will try all the quick fixes that I've found. If they dont work where is the best place to purchase a new speedo cable?
Thanks

I've heard Nuclear Medicine Technologists often have hard times finding new speedo cables... I mean, where's a new speedo cable when the lab needs one right? Just kidding.... Pinwall may have a used one, but it just so happens I have a used one right here!

I remember talk of a speedo repair kit for old chev trucks that could be used to fix our speedo cables. From what I remember it's a peice of cable that you would cut to length and then crimp on the correct end to match the original. then slide the assembly back into the original sleeve. I think this was the cheaper fix?
Also in the tech vault I think there is a listing for an old Honda cable that fits our bikes and has an elbow to relieve the stress where the oem cable breaks.
Hope this helps. NR

I posted about the Chevy truck repair kit but that specific kit won't work for our bikes. At the time I was wondering if there was one that would. The truck has a square drive on both ends. It did consist of a cable for inside the old housing with one end square and a crimp on end for the other end. If you could find a crimp on end like we have at the wheel it might work.
With my first post I misread his post , I thought he was looking for a speedo not a cable. I bought my cable from Triumph but I think I still have the new cable floating around since it turned out to be the drive at the wheel on mine. The ears wore off the drive washer.
