I stopped by my buddy's place down the street and he, his wife and a mutual friend of ours, all Harley riders, thought I was crazy when I said they were loud. My buddy's old Road Glide was pretty quiet, but his (derailed) chopper project was loud as he||. The mutual friend has "shotgun" pipes on his Dyna and I know how loud those are (basically short straight pipes with a paper-thin layer of baffling inside).
