Mmm, with customer svc like that Corbin better be careful. Regardless of quality, people will not put up with that sort of 3rd world treatment, let alone abuse towards a legit claimant.
Have you thought about explaining the saga to their customer svc dept and mentioning comments made by members on this forum? Worth a try. That's of course they do have an avenue for complaints.

Corbin was awesome with me. My seat never broke in, over 3000 miles later. Called them up and talked it over with them and they said ship it back. They fixed it for free and even shipped it back to me for free (they may have even sent me a shipping label to send it in but I don't recall for certain). The seat has been great ever since, albeit still very hard. The leather is worn in various places (I didn't take great care of it) and I might send it back or somewhere else for reupholstering. I'm intrigued by this company... http://www.kontourseat.com/Not for nothing, I think Corbin has had a lot of problems over the past few years (including an attempted sale of the company). I'm thinking that might be reflected in degraded customer service. My experience was several years ago.

I musta been lucky or something with my Corbin. It was just this year that I bought it and I liked it right out of the box.
The KonTour people do seem to have an intriguing product. Call me vain or whatever but I don't really like the look of the covering they're using. They make a good argument though.

It seems that Corbin is a bit inconsistent in their product from the chatter here.
My Corbin has been excellent, right out of the box. It fits well, I get no back, leg, bum pains. It looks good, and is well made.
When I had my Mustang seat on my V-Star 950, I had to get another pillion seat as the first didn't fit the bike properly. It was dealt with right away. They replaced both seats. The Mustang did raise me up quite a bit though, which is not good when you have a 27" inseam!

There are theories that there is a massive difference in quality between the California factory and the Florida factory. I have no idea where mine came from.

Maybe...I dealt exclusively with the Ormond, Florida team...they openly bashed the California factory for being "slow, sloppy and frustrating" (funny, that's how I feel about the Florida customer service. Hmmmmm.)
