The cover screws can be sourced at a decent hardware store. Not doing anything to the intake and just removing one baffle will not cause your bike to cease running. You may need to re-jet, but you might have other issues, is what I'm trying to convey.

Lose the hidden filter and replace with a inline one and that possible problem fades away. Did you buy some bad gas? It's been known to happen. After changing out the gas, add some Seafoam and see it that helps.

I would drain the bowls into a container and see if there is any water or dirt in it too.

It's supposed to be one of the best brands, I will remove hidden filter and replace it with inline fuel filter, change gas and follow with Seafoam. Thank you so much guys

Fast Eddy Sports or BellaCourse is a the only mail order source you need for jets. Either will send you what you need the first time. Or just go to a local Japanese bike shop.

I Used Dinqua's calculator. Awesome. That being said I have a few questions.
I have a 2007 Speedmaster with British Customs Bomber Exhaust mufflers and stock jet needles. I'm planning on removing the airbox and putting Dual K&N (Freak)on.
Do my mufflers fall under the "Misc Open Pipes"? The Calculator says 120 for Main Jets with Stock Pilot Jets and Needles. Do I need to or would it help to change the stock Pilots and Needles?
Thanks for any help on this.

I would think the Bomber exhausts would be close to Epcos, increase your pilots up 2 or 4 points too. I'm guessing 146 Mains for a start. Just console yourself, you're going up in jet size with the config change you described. Try some T-Bird Sport needles, they work well for me with no shims. Once you feel your close to optimum, it's Dyno run time to get it perfect.

Hi guys. Can anyone suggest jetting for an 03 BA with BC cocktail shaker, k&n pods setup? The calculator doesn't show shakers but I'm guessing a good starting point would be 152 or so mains with 45 pilots and stock needles without shims. BC told me they recommend 135 to 140 and 42's which doesn't sound right. 2000ft elevation. I'll probably have to experiment a little but if anyone has this setup I'll start with what works. Thanks.

What's the difference between "Dual K&N (FREAK)" and "K&N PODS"??? I have two individual K&N Pod filters on my '06 Speedmaster (on it when I got it).
