"Oh yeah, as this is an EFI bike, the fuel has to be drained from the tank before it can be removed. After exploring many options, I bought an outboard fuel line assembly that has a squeeze bulb and hoses. It's a generic kit that doesn't have the fittings to attach to the boat. This has check valves so that prime can be held better while syphoning. I'll need to burn more fuel up before I'll remove the tank."

No need to drain the tank to remove it as the pump is in the tank and no fuel can pass the pump when its not powered on. There is a quick disconnect on the fuel line under the tank. It helps to have as little fuel as possible in the tank when you remove it, as it can be a heavy beast when full.
