Got out this lunchtime, apparently the hand is a lot worse than originally thought, and he has had to wire up all those little bones. He has also had to put a screw into my thumb to attach the bone back, he once again says that the wrist and hand will take around three months to mend.

I am back in hospital Tuesday to have the plaster removed and some more xrays to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.

The speedy was picked up Wednesday afternoon and goes to a place called 4th dimention, I can rng up in a weeks time to find out what the outcome is...

Thanks guys for your thoughts and keeping my mind positive, now if only you would share the pain with me

Hurts like a bugger, does it Ray? Would or does it help to keep your hand elevated? Hope you don't suffer too long with this.

Well back in hospital today, and had my fourth cask on my arm. Man this thing is really bugging me with it being my left hand and writing hand etc.

He showed me today the extent of the damage and told me to not expect miracles, but I am and can move my fingers and my thumb with a little pain, so hey a few months and hopefully....

Less than a fortnight since the crash and you've got movement

You'll be back on the road before the bike

Just don't rush it too much, take your time and heal properly

Knowing Ray....the last thing he'll want to do is take it easy!!!

Seriously though mate, DO take it easy, while you can. The moment you get sent for physio, then do everything you get told to do there.

Any news on the bike?

Easy does it Ray!

Time and rest are the key factors in your recovery Ray, so don't try and push the healing process.

Finally don't be tempted to go pushing stuff down your plaster cast either - Ive seen some disasterous results arise from that.

I'd say thumbs up for the recovery but that might not be the wisest thing to say......but then when did I ever come out with any advice that was wise.

Yeah Ray, sorry to hear this. From how you described this "get off" of yours in your initial report, this sad bit of news doesn't suprise me none.

However, I hope your insurance company comes through for ya and treats you right, and that a whole shiny new Triumph is sittin' in your garage very soon.
