Hi all, thought you may be interested in my new bars and risers.

The bars were bought from:

This Mob In Kiwi Land for $85AUD Delievered

Absolute bargain considering I asked them for an extra 2" rise so they tailor made them to suit.

They also have the bar ends though I'm not sure what they are for yet.

Anyway, they feel great. Much like when I had longer risers with extra pull back with the America Bars but I was never really happy with any of the risers I'd had. The other reason I wanted much the same position was, besides being able to put on shmik short black risers, when I put my electrical wiring inside the bars you won't see much of it from the triple tree to inside the bars.

Here's some pics for ya.

Now the risers:

So there ya go. To be honest, I copied these bars from a firie mate cos I'd been after some new bars but I wasn't confident in having any built until I could actually feel for myself a set that felt great on our type of bike. To me it would have been a bit of guess work looking at a website and looking at diagrams etc. Too risky for me but I'm not too proud to admit I didn't invent the wheel Does that mean I stole it???

I did pick the risers though who are from Joker Machine. I love their stuff which is typical for me cos they aren't cheap. Oh well

FYI, fitting was real easy.

It never stops does it. I think I have an addiction

Thanks Keith. It all takes time but half the fun is dreaming about it and then finaly getting them done. Now that's one's finally put to bed, what's next?

Thanks for the complements guys. It means a lot to have ones peers evaluate with a thumbs up. Btw, I also don't mind constructive critisism either cos we're all different hey?

They do feel really comfortabe though which apart from my other reasons for putting them on, was my main motivation

Anyway, now with birthday coming up "again" (where did that year go?) I'm thinking I might bite the bullet and buy these:

http://www.oneup.com.au/bigblue.php

sorry, using IPhone so you'll have to cut and paste link.

One of these lifts would be brilliant as I find after a day of working on my bike with the standard lift, being a fair bit lower really gets me leaning over too much for too long and i pay for it back wise big time.

They aren't cheap though but in all consideration, probably they'd make my time working round my bike just that more enjoyable.

It never ceases to amaze me how much we can do to
our bikes though. Lucky I have a brilliant women that understands and encourages my addiction lol

That stand sure is nice and as you implied, would save the back from a lot of agony. On a side note, if I had a wife I'd want her to be just like yours!

Staffo,
I saw that very stand at Daytona last year and I thought the design was impressive.

The only trouble I can see with the stand is the cost. $925USD is big money in anyone's language but that's delivered (woopee).

Normally I will give the Distributors over this way a miss cos they really understand how to properly exploit the term "middle man".

I'm not sure how much the stand would cost over in the US or UK though but I don't care. I want one

here's a link with a video of how easy it is to use
