Finally got warm enough to ride my bike with the new front rim kit from Euroshop of Waco today....unbelievable!! I bought the kit mainly for looks, but what a difference in the ride! The bike cuts corners WAY better; just seems to be quicker...check out my gallery for pics.

That really looks good Lee. I like the old school Rat look.
Two thumbs up.

Did you get the bars from them, too? The combo looks really good.

Triumph72, the kit was originally going to be $725 (including shipping), which included a new chrome rim, spokes, Metzeler tire and a custom fender...unfortunately their chromer went out of business, so the usual $30 charge turned into $120, but the guys at Euroshop were kind enough to split the bill with me, so the final cost was $795...well worth in my opinion, got it mostly for looks but the added performance is very nice too...one thing though, the fender was packed UNDER the tire with no packing material, and the UPS guys seemed to find every way to throw the box around all the way from Texas to NC haha. It was pretty banged up so I called Euroshop and they were really nice, are sending me a replacement as we speak (although at this time I like the look of no fender, will probably keeep it until I hit the first rainstorm haha).

Thanks Pat...you know where I got the inspiration from right? Remember last year at the Georgia Rally when everybody was around Skippy's bike checking out all his mods? Don't get me wrong, I loved his bike, but there I was off to the side salivating over Robert's bike, asking about his bars, his fenders (or lack thereof), talking to Newt about our shared love for the old school Triumph bobber look....now I've got my own (or at least I'm working on it haha).

Thanks FriarJohn, I actually bought the bars from RezDog Cycles/Indian Ink, my local bike shop here in Cherokee...run by my good friend and tatoo artist Robin L. (shameless plug anyone?)...the bars actually come from Drag Specialties, made by Carlini Design. They have a web page if I'm not mistaken, top notch stuff--excellent chrome, nicely designed.

Joker, thanks buddy; no modifications needed, although I did have to move the throttle cable from the left side of the frame to the right side so it wouldn't bind...

p.s. Are you the guy on the Progressive Suspension website? If you are, that's a nice looking bike, love those chrome forks, what did something like that cost ya?

Looks great. Where did you get the material to cover the wires? I need something like that for my driving lamp wires.

Nevermind, I must have been looking at someone else's bars - they had Carlini's with a wire cover. Those photo gallery folders are still a little confusing.
