Hi folks,

I'm interested in putting a new set of risers on my TBA '07 (stock handlebars).

Specifically, I'm looking at a set with about 5" rise and 2.5" pullback. They are similar to the Lightning Euro risers that Eddy sells. I've heard some folks say this is possible with stock cables, and I'm fine with re-routing to the other side of the triple tree, but to me it looks like the hose would be the limiting factor.

Does anyone have advice / experience with their own risers that they can share?

Much obliged,

-B

Hello Brett, I went through www.Bellacorse.com for the risers on my TBA. Here is the page, handlebars with description. Good luck with your choice. Have you heard of the NorCal Presidents group in the bay area? Check out this site . The New Triumph Bonneville Forum

I have the Rivco risers on my America and love them. No cable problem, but I would think with 5" risers you may come up tight even re-routing to the other side. Make sure first unless you don't mind getting longer cables.

Habu and Ram -

Do you know what the total rise / pullback of your risers was?

And has anyone else successfully installed 5 inch risers with stock cables? How about Lightning Euro risers?

The Rivco risers put the bars back 2" closer and up a little bit. Here's a link showing them:

I'd have to think it's gonna be tight. Even the wire harnesses from the bars to the headlight bucket could be a problem. And what of the front brake line? Hmmmm...

When I changed from the standard bars on my 06SM
to 8" raised T-Bars, I lengthened all the wiring by 6"
and put in a 10" longer braided brake line,
I have since changed the bars to 6" risers with double
Z-Bars.
I'm still running the standard SM cables, just rerouted to get maximum length, a new set of braided is on the way though.

I have 4 1/2" rise and 1 1/2" pull back and I don't think I would want to go any farther with stock cables, they are stretched pretty tight.
