So, after having to reroute my front brake line, I have filled and bled the brakes ( a couple of times ). They are still spongy... I mean I can almost pull the lever to the bar. Here's what I'm doing:
1. Top off the MC.
2. Connect a hose to the bleed valve. The hose goes to a container above the brake caliper.
3. open the bleed valve.
4. squeeze the lever and watch for bubbles.
5. Close the bleed valve.
6. Let the lever go.
7. Repeat 3-6 until no air bubbles show up in the hose.
8. Repeat procedure on other side of wheel.
9. Top-off brake flud @ MC.

So... What's missing??

Check the tech vault. Many have had similar issues and have found the answer in the process outlined in the tech vault.

Its the 7th post from the top in the brakes section by BONNYUSA.

Just did mine last week,Was expecting trouble but had none.Basicly did the same thing as you are but had the container below the caliper, started with the furthest away and held my hand over the open res.Back and forth a couple times and got it.How were the washers?could they be suckin air? There is a few sugestions in the tech vault, some guys let them sit overnite fer the bubbles to slowly work there way up.Good luck if ya haven't got it yet.

GOT IT!

Washers are new BTW, but thanks for the suggestion. I took a couple of tips from the tech vault and did a quick lunchtime bleed. Brakes feel MUCH better. My problem was that I was trying to shortcut the job (always seems to end badly). I wasn't removing the calipers and placing them as low as possible and moving them around to get all the air to the bleed valve... Once I did that, I got 4 or 5 SMALL air bubbles out of one side. That seemed to do the trick. Brakes feel awesome...

Thanks.
