Hi Folks. I thought I'd share my find here.

I have a Husky (Home Depot) 1/4" drive ratchet with a 1/4" hex drive wrench that's been invaluable working on the bikes. It comes with 5 screwdriver bits. I also purchaced a set of 1/4" hex drive (2mm to 6mm)from my local tool store. This is about $30 CDN. I carry this set on the bike. It makes getting at stuff easy, and is compact.

Out of all my tools, this has turned into my most used tool on the bikes for lighter use.

I should also add that this tool makes getting at the headlight (should a bulb burn out) very easy with a windshield in place.

I have the same ratchet. Perfect for working on the carbs. For $10 I bought an 80 piece bit set at the auto parts store. Has everything I need, including security torx.

Now if only someone would send one to me I also could benefit from it

I've got something similar. was from a cheap tool shop. (I don't generally pay for expensive tools...my dad has a garage full, so anything serious I do it at his...or pay for someone to do it!)

My favourite are my rachet spanners.

Those small bit ratchets are handy. I bought a set of craftsmans with straight and fore and aft angled ratchets and a few bits for 20$. Liked them so well I bought a second set to carry on the bike. Rounded out my tool bag pretty nicely.

Yup, have a set of GearWrench ratchet spanners. They are very handy, but you can't use them everywhere due to their size.
