While I think this bike is a VERY nice "re-creation" of the old air-cooled UJM motorcycle, I seriously doubt it'll sell very well in the States. You see, american street motorcyclist nowdays seem pressed into "niches", with the vast majority either in the "Crusier Camp" or the "Sportbike Camp", and with the few remaining in the "Touring Camp" or the "Adventure Touring Camp". And thus, a "Stardard-Style" UJM would only seem to appeal to a very small group of riders who would have "nothing to prove" about how "cool-lookin'" their motorcycle is(read: Cruiser) or how fast and hi-tech their motorcycle is(read: Sportbike) is to other riders out their.

I get your point. But isn't it odd that the Bonneville Standard is Triumph's best selling bike if this is indeed the case? Or, could we be seeing the UJM standard bike staging a nice comeback with Honda leading the way (again)?
