...And I bet they'll sell a lot of them.
However, I'm gonna disagree with Kevin here. While I think this bike is a VERY nice "re-creation" of the old air-cooled UJM motorcycle, I seriously doubt it'll sell very well in the States. You see, american street motorcyclist nowdays seem pressed into "niches", with the vast majority either in the "Crusier Camp" or the "Sportbike Camp", and with the few remaining in the "Touring Camp" or the "Adventure Touring Camp". And thus, a "Stardard-Style" UJM would only seem to appeal to a very small group of riders who would have "nothing to prove" about how "cool-lookin'" their motorcycle is(read: Cruiser) or how fast and hi-tech their motorcycle is(read: Sportbike) is to other riders out their.
Nope, this kind of motorcycle now only seems to appeal to that very small group of motorcyclists out there who couldn't care less about what other people think of their choice in motorcycles and who only want a rational and reliable bike that can do a lot of things well but will never be the best at any one thing.
(...and seein' as how very very few UJM models introduced in the last 10 to 15 years into the U.S. market have been a sales success, it seems there are few of them there types ridin' motorcycles anymore on american highways)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
