Since 1985. The Rebel is a parallel twin.
In the picture posted to start the thread I thought it looked kind of triumph-ish, but on my old (very old) monitor that one is pretty dark. After seeing other pictures I have to agree it looks more like a return to a true "standard" type of motorcycle.
