I have been building and driving hot rods and kustom kars all my life.I have 4 of them, i know one of my cars, the tires are over 20 years old. But i drive it once every couple of summers. Now how many people are going out and buy new tires .if there car sets a lot. Most likely they won't. And i have bought SO MANY tires over the years.Inever had any idea how to date them.i will be under most of my kars with my flashlight this summer. Great article...I had a 23 years old killed by a newer tire. with a slight cut in it. Tires are nothing to fool around with.JMO
