OK 2 things here... you say your on #4 on the cdi unit?? might want to double check that (post your original part no)

2nd, I would go with coil.. the reason I say that is I have had it happen twice now and I went through EVERYTHING!! even bought 2 replacement carbs, checked the shims, the air gap the lot.. you name it I did it.. bought 2 2nd hand coils and it ran like a dream.

2 weeks ago, got the same issue, this time swapped out the coil for a spare I had, running like a dream.

I have now in my possesion 3 PVL coils, they are slightly larger but as I now had had 2 right hand coils go on me I am trying anything.. when I locate a dealer that has the nology coils in stock Ill get them.
