I was hoping everyone in Aus was going to have access to their "flaps" by Easter, so they could mount them and then give them "jolly good" going over (I would have preferred to have said rogering but thought it inappropriate ) . Some pics would be nice too

Got mine on Thursday - it was probably there earlier but that was the only time this week I cleared the PO Box. I haven't fitted it yet - looks like it may need to be shortened by a couple of inches - seems like a simple job.
thanks Staffo.

Sheesh, I finally read this thread, go to the latest (expired) posting, find the new posting and she has raised the price from 5.00 to 8.99 pounds!! Crikey!! Maybe I'll just go to the local hardware store, buy a little bit of stiff rubber, punch some holes in it and pop-rivet it on meself!! I re-read the latest ebay lisintg for these mudflaps. Seems the 8.99 pound price does include P&P, so I guess it's ok. Too bad she doean't offer a mudflap with the Triumph logo, she seems to have a quite a few for other bikes. And Mo, if you ever get Stacka to cross the water to bee-yootiful NZ, I think you should take him on a tour of the Forgotten World Highway on the North Island. There are some impressive twisties on that road...and lots of sheep!! Thanks all the way from the Pacific NW of "The Colonies" and Happy Easter!

Could cut a mud flap out of an old bald motorcycle tire.

Yes, Anne did do her best to give us a good deal which is why I was able to save my blokes a fair bit of money. You see, all is sometimes not how it appears or another way of saying it is, the devil is many times in the detail. This deal was done out of ebay and privately so Anne didn't have to incur the Ebay fees. She didn't really have to bother with all this rigmarole did she? But she did, gaving us a discount on each mud flap and of course like Eddy, charged us only what the 11 mud flaps actually cost to ship. I also asked her if it would have been cheaper to send the 4 Kiwi flaps direct to them and because of how shipping works, Anne suggested it wasn't a good idea cost wise. Meanwhile, don't forget we had to correspond numerous times to organise what sometimes I thought was becoming a sh#t fight but overall it saved us few bucks which afterall was the intention. So no, their's just a bit more in this than how it looks. So to have the mud flaps delivered around Aus for $10AUD (admittedly I had the facility to deliver from my place to other's for nothing) but regardless, we did alright and I believe the others think the same. Yes, we could have got an old spare tyre but for $10, wadoyawant? If there is anyone who does want one from other part of the globe, talk to Anne (email her on the ebay site) and see what she can do for you. Anyway, here a pic of what we got. Sure, there might be something out there that's made of gold but Piper's been happy with his, and again for $10AUD, what do you want for almost nothing

Hi Anne, I'm over here in the Colonies aka the USA. I would be interested in a mud flap, especially if you could get it with the Triumph logo on it. Sinca Stacka can vouch for you (although aren't most Ozzies descended from convicts?) , please send me a pm and let's see if we can work something out separate from ebay. Happy Easter to all! Steve

I didn't mean to suggest that a tire was better than the ones purchasedI just meant since she was sold out. I also didn't mean to buy a tire, I meant cut one out of your own used up tire.

She's right Ian. I know you actually could make something that would look good out of an old tyre anyway. I also know you take pride in your workmenship and do prefer to put your skills to building or manufacturing your own rather than buy if at all possible.
Nothing wrong with that brother.
These mudflaps just happened to work out well for us cos Anne did what she could as well as we got some good savings in shipping 11 and not 1 of em. If we didn't do it this way, I think the shipping was dearer than the item. Meaning we all probably would have been trying our own versions or more than likely, done nothing and suffered any unlucky consequences.
One last thing, whilst I haven't been on any OS roads, some of our best riding over here is done on sometimes less than ordinary roads. Also every descent ride I've done, I've always come across a length of roadworks. This means riding on unsealed roads and not only the chance of rocks doing damage, but to keep the dust down the pr*cks stop the traffic and water the road ( I reckon they do it on purpose for us riding bikes) Anyway the associated mud sticks like sh*t to a blanket and fair dinkum, you need a pressure cleaner to get it off.
Enter, stage left Mr Mudflap lol.

Hi Staffo Fitted mine and it looks great. Had to trim it a bit as it was a bit too long. If I knew how to post a pic I would.

Hey, glad to hear that John and that it looks ok. Thanks for the feedback on the trimming which will come in handy for me tomorrow.
I believe it's appropriate at this time to mention that Bengt ( Piper's) Mum died last night. He is our Swedish friend who took the time to post pics of his bike with the mudflap on as a suggestion we look at doing the same. So it appears whilst he knew his Mum was very sick, he still took the time to help us blokes out. Just thought I'd mention this if you wanted to say something to his Lounge Post.
Certainly not pushing or anything but I'm just a believer in paying my respects if I hear or read about someone who has tried to help me, particulary during what must have been such a hard time for the bloke.
