I just installed those hand adjusted idle mixture screws on my 03 America. Queston where do the littel washers go. I put them under the springs, seames to run good. And I've been having problem with my voltage it looks like unpluging the connection plug under the carbi. did the trick. Rudyr

You need that O ring or the screws will leak air.

Rudy, the o-rings stick where they seat. Use a flash light and mirror to take a peak.

I talked to Triumhp mach. today and he think the o ring is still up in the carb. to. I got the iDEL ADJUST OUT 3 3/4 turn out runnies real good but lodes up running along at about 3000 r's in sec.gear. I've got thunder bird needle in it,think I need to go back to the stock one's. I've changed the jets a few year ago but can't remenber what I've got in the carb. will look next week after this run. Am going to change the pluge's. I took her on the freeway had her to 85 mph with more to go but the wind was really blowing and me pushing a sidecar. I just didn't push her any more. That comes with old age along with a few other things Rudyr

If you adjusted those mixture screws the right way you need to change out the pilot jets for a larger size,3 3/4 turns is too much.

Totally agree on that. If you're running 3.75 out you need to move up one size on the pilots. It will probably drop that by 2 turns. If you're still running 42, go to 45.

Something is going on and I don't know what yet. I put jetts in about 6 yr. ago I got to looking in my tool box and found a jet in a bag 42 pilots and 125 main. I've run them for all that long. Use the choke to star the bike. Now I can't put the choke on when I start the bike now or will die when it is cold. I'm going to change plugs now and order 45 pilot, and I've got 130 &145 main in a draw. My try 130 because now with the sidecar can only do 85 mph. The reason I opened the Ideal adjust to 3 turns is the new speedmaster .com that I got them from say'es start with three turns. Rudyr
