Hey all, I've been lurking here for about 3 or 4 years studying up on bikes. Finally took the leap yesterday and bought my America. Well, it rode great just like you said it would. My first ride was about 170 miles back from K.C. Mo to my home. So glad I spent the extra time reading the reviews comparing various bikes. It paid off in the end. I'll post a picture when I get her cleaned up but keep in mind that's only a starting point. Flames! That's what I want I say, flames!

It took you 3 or 4 years to decide on the Triumph?!? Wow! Well you definitely made the right choice. Congrats, and welcome to the club!

Congratulations on your new purchase Bob. You bought the best color made. Where are you at in Missouri?

Great news, Bob. Nice to have another MO guy on a Triumph. You made the right choice and will fall in love with her more and more everytime you ride her. Dang, that's starting to sound kinky.

That's some dedication there Bob. Once I decided I wanted an America, I couldn't hold out for more than a couple months. The great thing is these bikes get better and better with mods. Flames make um faster for sure.

Springfield, Missouri. I had pretty well decided on a Triumph after all the reviews for a year. Just had to wait the other 3 years for the money to kick in. 401K and all that you know.

You might want to give Rick(livinginh) a heads up(pm) as he lives in that area too. Might be able to do some riding together.
You should look into going to the MW Rally this June or else there is the ARK rally around October. Last couple years it's been in Eureka Springs but it may move to another area this year...or so i hear.

Congratulations Capn Bob, and I admire your patience! I too have an 09 in black - they are beauties!!! If you like flames and the solo look, there is a nice chrome fender bib available in flames. I have it, and get lots of compliments!

What took you so long? You should've just listened to us in the first place. You would've already been riding your Trumpet for years...

Welcome. Such carefully considered purchases are not exactly my style... I am just really, really lucky... and now, so are you.

Don't feel bad, took me 27 years of marriage to get the bride onboard and now she is stoked. Gave me plenty of time to shop and glad I just purchased a 2008 Bonnie with 1300 miles. Been riding just North of the Keys. Well worth the wait, no doubt, kids grown, served my country for 30 yrs military, time to enjoy life. Glad to be a Triumph owner and appreciate everyone else on this site that feels the same.
