Well, over here in Asia, I miss... pretty much everything!
Breakfast is usually a rice soup, or noodles (that's a no-no for me, can't get used to that one)
Lunch is rice or noodles and
dinner is rice or noodles.
Add some pork, fish and vegetables and that's it.
Snacks are usually brown and gooey. Unless you want to try stinky tofu. It's something you can't forget if you ever smell it once... it gets imprinted in your brain forever, trust me!
As you can see, not much in terms of variety! Asians like to stick to food they know and don't stray too far when it comes to experimenting.
So, I had to do it myself. I bake my own bread, I cook a lot at home, from italian to mexican (which is really hard because I can't find a bunch of key ingredients sometimes).
BUT, there's a distinct advantage to living along the coast of the Pacific.... seafood!
And the best place I ever found (counting out that trip to Corsica) is a little shack along the road in the middle of nowhere, I wouldn't have stopped, but I am glad a friend did and told me about it. Best seafood ever, the sashimi is practically still jumping n your plate, and the rest is simply amazing. No fancy sauce or anything, it is just good stuff coming out of the ocean straight to your plate.
Wouldn't believe it from the looks of the place:

Happy eating!
