If you have a good dealer, I'd press them for a new igniter box.

Thankfully, they are a good bunch of guys who normally go the extra mile. I had intended taking the bike in today but didn't realise it was a public holiday.
Ironically, it didn't do it again today.

Final update:

It was the igniter unit after all.
The dealers ran their tests and swapped it out for a new one (under warranty) and she's running just fine.

Hey Thanassis, glad to hear your dealer took care of you. IMO the igniter box is a weak link on our bikes. When I was trying to scrounge up a used one when mine went bad, I called Baxter Cycle in Iowa who had 2 Americas in their salvage yard. Both of those bikes already had their igniter boxes cannibalized from them. I know bad igniters haven't shown up on these forums all that often, certainly not like warped rotors, but it'll be nice if Procom can come up with a cheaper one sometime soon.

Derek, I'm relieved I got that over with, especially as the Euro rally is coming up in a few weeks.
I was wondering how many times this problem has cropped up on this site (other than yours and mine).
My dealers told me the problem was so rare that they don't even keep any in stock for most Triumph models (they are the national distributors).
They had to fly mine (24 hrs) in from England.
BTW, they cost 570 Euros (approx. 720 US Dollars) over here (mine was luckily covered by warranty).
It figures, considering the bike cost me over 13000 USD 18 months ago.
That's love for you.

That's why Procom is probably our only hope right now. They make an igniter for the Bonneville that Brent sells and it's only $189 on his site. Doesn't work for our bikes though, but Procom supposedly has one in the works that'll work with the 270 firing motor. Beats the $550 I paid for an OEM one, or the 570 Euros Beduoin would've had to pay if he wasn't under warranty.
