I haven't seen this posted yet, and when I was looking to do it I talked to some members who explained it to me. But thought I would attach a picture for others that might need some guidance.
1/4 inch X 1 1/2 inch bolt ($.08)
1/4 inch nut, washers and locking washers ($.08)
1/4 inch by 7 1/2 inch turnbuckle ($1.19)
