FWIW, was a diehard Triumph rider for many years what with owning Trummies from a '67 TR6R to a '73 T140RV. Even have a repop of that Triumph t-shirt worn by Bob Dylan in his Highway 61 Revisted album (t-shirt available from www.cycleclassics.com).

My best bud back then was also a Triumph freak with oldest being a '59 Bonneville, and newest a '73 T140RV like mine.

Well, we finally hooked-up for the first time since 1980, and he owns a black Kawasaki 1500 Drifter as his Indian while I have a black/silver Kawasaki 1500 Classic FI which reminds me of my old 1975 FLH1200 "Fatbob".

To be perfectly honest, both of our bikes are copies of the real thing, so to speak, otherwise we wouldn't have purchased them.

Am not the least bit offended by comments about jhap cruisers being HD/Indian clones from BA/SM owners as that's what they are. However, the demand of those kind of bikes is very high otherwise they wouldn't be making them.

Reason I'm on this list is become more informed about the BA/SM (the other twins are too ergomically confining for my fat arse) as I p-pl-pla-plan to buy a 2nd bike, and would love to get back into Triumphs again.

There's a Triumph dealer, Big Twin Cycles , just 2 exits away from me here in Boise, ID. Just saw the white on blue 900 Scrambler there which sits higher than the other Bonnys, but is still too small for me (am 6'3" 248-lbs).
