I am the same height and the Memphis Shades Alleycat plus the lowers have pretty much done away with buffeting on my America. Most of the wind from below comes over the tank and your knees and right up into your face. The lowers took care of that. The wind between the forks goes around the tank or over the engine/oil cooler so it is not a problem.
