I have a Memphis Shades "Fats" screen without lowers and don't have buffeting issues (3/4 helmet). With the Fats screen, it is necessary to make your own cutouts for the driving lamps. I gave the cutouts some additional room on lamp clearance that the Clearview doesn't appear to have. That may make a difference, allowing some airflow to sneak thru those larger gaps and upset the turbulence around my face. Just a hunch.
