I do not intentionally take off from home in rain unless I am going to a motorcycle event and expect it to dry up. On the other hand, I refuse to be intimidated by "20 - 30% chance of rain." Far too many "Riders" put just a few miles on their bikes because they are so afraid of getting wet.

On those occasions when I had to ride home in the rain and the rainphobic have made a comment I just respond with "Anyone who never rides in the rain doesn't ride much," and let it go. On the other hand, I do not ride on ice and snow. Too hard to keep the rubber side down.


We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
