Got back home around 1pm today, and I survived yet another Daytona Bike Week. A friend and I rode up to the ABATE Campground on Wednesday, and by Friday there was 5 of us camping. Yes it was very cold (for Florida), but at least it wasn't raining. During the day it was great, but at night it got down to 37-40 degrees. Last night when I got back to the campground (around 12:30am) my tent was covered with a 1/4 inch of frost. Luckily for me the other guys had started a fire, and had a beer waiting for.

We had a great time, but you could tell there were fewer people, which was probably due to a combination of cold weather and the economy.

It is ironic because last year we rode to Sturgis we arrived the Wednesday before the start of bike Week. That night it got down to 45 degrees, which set a all time cold record for that day. That was a very cold 5 days in Sturgis. I have never been that cold in August.
