Couldn't find the original post, but, I finally took a couple pics of the VMax mirrors. The heads fit our stems pefectly so there is no vibration at all, plus you get a wider field of vision and I like the way they look. The ones I got are not original Yamaha parts, they are the Emgo equivalent; part numbers 20-86831 (right) and 20-86832 (left). I think the Yamaha numbers are 1AA-26290-02 (right) and #1AA-26280-02 (left).

Look just like the Yamaha Virago mirrors i got. Made by "Bikemaster". $17.95 ea. They are not quite as convex as stock, so objects in mirrors aren't specks.

Soren, Thanks for the advice on the mirrors! I just installed my new set of V-Max Emgos this morning. They work great, I can see two full lanes of traffic out of each one. Nice. The reflective surface of the mirror isn't as high quality as the originals (you can see by the deformed image of the Ford Explorer in the background) but what the heck. They were inexpensive and at 20mph the bike is moving around enough you don't really notice. ~John~

Hi Allan,
I purchased the Emgo mirrors through my local Yamaha dealership, North Texas Yamaha. It took about a week to get the left one in (backordered), the right one came in second day.
I'm pretty sure Eddy carries, or is going to carry, the mirror, I'd check with him first... www.fasteddysports.com
Eddy? You in here? Let us know if you have the part.
Thanks!
~John~

That is what I like as well. I have mine adjusted so that I can slightly see my arms (for reference) and if I wee in the center lane on a three lane road each lane on either side of me.

Got my mirrors last night and I concur with Soren and John.
It was dark last night when I got home from work so I put one of the mirrors on and went for a test ride. Being that at night any vibration would really stand out because it would make the headlights "dance" in the mirror. Well, it did not. With a side by side comparison, Stock and the V-Max mirrors there was no notable difference in vibration.
There was a notable profound difference in the optics of the mirror which also translated to a marked difference in the field of vision in the V-Max mirror. Markedly more visibility was undeniable even with one mirror.
The quality seems pretty close to the stock mirror, it is a little lighter feeling, but seems a good value for the money. Posted the link on my web site if your interested in purchasing, I had an error in the price that has been corrected.

Hi all, I've resurrected this one cos I'm interested in these VMAX mirrors. Now I was wondering if anyone could give me the exact yamaha part numbers? Soren said "I think the Yamaha numbers are 1AA-26290-02 (right) and #1AA-26280-02 (left)" but I don't want to go to my yamaha dealer here in Aus and order them to find they aren't the right one's. I know this is a bit of a pain but I'm finding US postal just too expensive eg $60US to ship mirrors from the states. Thanks very much to anyone who can help.

Received my mirrors on Saturday, "Fast Eddy is Fast".
Installed the new mirrors that afternoon and wow what a difference. The field of view is much better than the stock "mickey mouse hears" mirrors. Plus they look great!

just want to let know I won the vmax mirror auction on ebay for $36US plus $15 postage which compared to these for $70 and can you believe it a quote for $46 from US postal, I ended up saving $66US. Now that has to be a good thing. What gets me though is the cost of the postage. I ended up emailing British Customs back just to let them know their postage costs weren't competitive. Now I'm not saying this is what happened but one thing I do know is that postage costs for these mirrors does not cost nearly that much using other mobs, anyway lots of ebay items appear to be quite cheap but where they really make a profit is in the cost they charge for postage. Heh, even the corbin seat and backrest that came from the US and was in a large box only cost about $60. Anyway thanks to Shaun (nobby) I saved some big ones. Thanks guys

I may have expressed the same sentiments x-teen dozen receipts ago.
The "Triumph" receipt and papers file folder, at around one year old and one inch thick, is well hidden from spousal perusal. One can't very effectively do what's required of a responsible husband, that is, to cry poverty, with a fistfulla gee gaws 'n chrome receipts.
My Grandfather would wear his barn clothes to town, against the protests of my Grandmother. He would tell her "I don't want anyone to think we have money."

That's the "Swamp Yankee" way.
Yesterday, I ordered the V-Max mirrors from Eddy, and t-shirts. Today, he sent me an e-mail saying that I ordered the t-shirts at the wrong price, saved me around 12 bucks. He didn't have to, but he did. Got my respect.
I'll order again. Uncle Charlie
