The idiot lights on the speedo are pretty much useless... that's the only thing I don't like about it. I actually wired in both the speedo and console lights. As far as the speedometer cable goes, I was told they don't have an adapter that works with our bikes and in retrospect, I'm glad I went with the magnet pickup. It get's rid of the cable and helps clean up the front end.
