I tapped the rear axle on the left side and ran a 1/2" bolt into the end. Then I drilled the inside of the hex in the front axle cap nut and ran a piece of 7/16" threaded rod through the axle. I welded 1/2' nuts to 7/16" nuts and it worked perfectly.
