I stand corrected, I'm getting old and blind. I do see the rotor through the cutouts and see that there is no brake line. I'm sure the rotor takes some of the sting out of the cush drive appearance. I just looked at my rear wheel in the garage which has the cush drive removed. It looks like there is just enough meat where the the rotor would mount to support for looks not enough to actually be clamping down on with a caliper; so drill, tap and go, just don't stop.
