So Sweet. I think that's my favorite America. Almost as nice as my Speedy ;-)

How long are your rear shocks? I think you've got half an inch on me.

Bike looks nice. How much did you take off the front forks and how easy was it. Doing lots of mods myself and the forks were the next no my list. Thanks

I made that one. I did not like any of the off-the-shelf HD side mount plates so I fabricated, with the help of my bro-in-law, one that was slim. I rigged up a 40W halogen bulb to light up the plate. Then sent it off to be chromed.

What was the cost of chroming the lower fork legs?
How far did you have to take the forks apart?
Once the forks are taken apart to be chromed, does anything need to be replaced, or can the original parts be reused?

Once again, great looking bike!

Mr. Soul Survivor Sir? I hope you don't mind, but I've been using a picture of your bike on my work computer's background for the past 2 years. It's the pic of it in the garage, with 2 dudes in the background (cutoff at the chest). Hope you don't mind dude, but it gives me inspiration. Mine's green too.

Those are not chromed..Just polished on a polishing wheel. I had to cut off the fender mounts since the fender was scrapped. So I grinded and sanded down those two spots, removed the clear coat and polished away with some jewlers polish. I did have to take the forks apart. I had to do it anyway to install the progressive front fork kit. It is very straight forward. just make sure your motorcycle jack is set high enough.

Really? I am very humbled. I don't mind. I don't know what picture you speak of. The best one I have is the one at the top of this thread. If you have any questions just PM me. I get lots of those and like answering questions when I have time..usually at night..Or work!!!

My main question is How do you get the engine aluminum so bright? That thing is shiny. All of your mods, I love, but I've got an idea of how they were accomplished.

Photoshop! really..all that stuff comes clear coated. its waxable. Once a year I just go over it with one of those Mother's foam things you plug into your portable drill. Makes it easy to wipe down the other 11 months of the year.

Nice Bike! When you took the fender off and put the 21" tire on did the bike sacrafice any stabilty in the front end? I have heard that somtimes the fender helps keep the two forks stable. Also, you metioned that you put a 200 in the rear. Were you able to do that becuase the fender was chopped, or can you use the 200 with the stock fender? Did you also use original hub for the rear?
