I only have one question, If Harleys are so great, why is everyone trying to give them away?

Like I said before, the Triumph / Harley thing has been going on for over 100 years. Notice how we generally don't pick on other brands? Truth be told, the Harley thing here is probably 98% in jest, and if I had to gamble, I'd bet that most of us here (including little old me) don't really care what anybody rides. We're just doing our Triumph Vs. Harley duties.

Come Tuesday, I may (or may not) be able to sell you all the Harleys (or is it Harlies) you'd ever want. I'll set aside the one upholstered in thumb tacks just for you.

Here in Brisbane, it wouldn't matter if you rode your Triumph to work, the Triumph dealership sells those other brands as well

Dude... who the he11 do you think you are? Seriously? I want to know who the he11 you think YOU are?. You're trying to start a lot of problems here calling good people names and flinging your crap around like you own the place.
Here you are calling US bashers when all you can do is call people names and pass YOUR judgement as if YOU are the end all be all authority of right and wrong. You're nothing but the pot calling the kettle black. I have never seen anybody just fly off the handle like you do. I think they have drugs for that man. Maybe you could use some.
Dude, if you hate it here and don't like the posts...LEAVE.

Did someone mention Newspeedmaster?! Well let me tell you.... I have owned and ridden both HD and Triumph and to me there is no comparison so I stuck with what I think is the better bike. That is not knocking HD that is me entitled to my opinion. I would love an old Knuckle or flathead to play with but even at that if a 37 Speedtwin came my way I would trade either one for it. I guess the fooling around knocking HD comes naturally to me since most of my friends ride HD and we rib each other back and forth all the time.I do the same with my one friend who rides a Honda 750four.

Thread hijack, part III or IV

I went there today as instructed for an interview, filled out another app, then waited an hour and 1/2 and was told "they're busy." "We'll call you." I made no gesture of impatience, and they already knew I was fat & ugly, so I don't think it was me. Who knows.

Working Saturdays & Sundays is apparently part of the package, and with the one hour each way commute we're looking at a potential 6 day, 70 - 72 hour work week. It would sure take a pile of money for that to happen. Oh well... Still have my caretaker gig.

Are you slow too?
They may have mistaken you for the merchandise.

And hey Kieth!!
While we're at it, just what does "hoser" mean anyhoo?
We've all heard it of course, via Doug and Bob, and even use it sometimes when referencing Canucks.
But all i could ever guess was it had something to do with stocking (hose) caps, AKA "toques".

So, just what is the etymology?

Basically it's an english canadian redneck... middle to lower class non-urban dweller, likes drinking beer, hockey, and curling. Thanks Wikipedia! (kinda thought that was it, but had to confirm)
