Hi All
I have a faulty rear brake light switch. The rubber boot that protects the switch was torn; this allowed water into the unit and corroded one of the connectors.
I’ve bought a new switch and boot but not being mechanically minded I’m just wondering if this a simple job that is within my capabilities?
I’ve had a read of the Haynes manual and it seems straight forward but I just want to check with you guys in case there are and hidden issues.
The main dealer quoted £45.00 plus brake fluid @ £5.00 to do the work.
Is this a job for the trainee mechanic or something that needs to be done by a trained mechanic?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
