Space in Japan is extremely limited, so some architects came up with this design for motorcyclist residents, very cool imo. btw don't get distracted by the boobies on the right side bar... ******, too late! http://obviousmag.org/en/archives/2008/04/a_building_for_motorcyclists.html

If I could get my bike up the staires it would be warm in the winter. I got a buddy who used to live in Canada he and his room mate lived in a high rise apartment they would stand there sport bike up on the back tire in the elevator to get them in there apartment for winter inspection

I don't see much live TV these days but I did see a commercial at my girlfriend's house tonight for some "reality show" called something like the "Marriage Ref" or some such nonsense. Anyway, one of the ads had a motorcycle sitting in a living room which was apparently the major bone of contention in the marriage. Honey, he's just not that into you.

Got a similar story for ya... back in the Hippie days and I mean days like, "If you're going to San Fransisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair" days... there was a Hippie haven in Toronto called Rochdale. Now Rochdale was an experiment in student-run alternative education and co-operative living. It provided space for 840 residents and was also a free university where students and teachers lived together and shared knowledge in the building shown below. That highrise was full, and I mean stuffed with Hippies and Bikers and was THE place to be in 'TO' (nickname for Toronto) back in those days. The lobby was full of bikes... the freight elevator took bikes to every floor and hallway. There was anything and everything to be had there, and I mean ANYTHING! Chicks, booze, smoke, other stuff (not much food) and so on. It was just around the corner from Maple Leaf Gardens and not too far from Kensington Market. Central 'TO' to be sure... But cha know... what sticks out in my memory more than anything was all the bikes stuffed into that building at any given time. Wow... good times on Bloor Street. I'm thinking I'm not the only Canuck (here at ba.com) who remembers that place.
Okay... that's my story. But relative to this thread don't you agree?
