I'm assuming your bike is equipped with EFI. Removing the AI on EFI bikes might cause a minor problem with the mixture. The O2 sensors don't see the extra air in the exhaust from the emission device and assume you are running rich. You might need a remap but some of the other fellows with EFI might want to chime in on what they have found.
I know on the carb models it is a straight pull with no changes to the mixture settings.
